Tournament format
  • Players were selected through a controversial method, a lottery, which meant a few big names missed out on the event. 580+ had applied and only 300 were able to play.
  • 7 Rounds of Swiss into a Top 64 cut
  • 1st place finisher earns a Day 2 invite to the 2022 Pokemon World Championships in London, 2nd to 4th placed finishers earns a Day 1 invite to Worlds as well
