Notes
  • Tord Reklev won his third straight International Championship, an unprecedented achievement. To date, no other player has won more than one. Reklev currently owns half of the six existing TCG Masters 1st place Internationals trophies. The only region's International he has not yet won is South America's. View our post on the historic win here
  • While not quite as impressive as Reklev's achievement, Philip Schulz did add to his already-impressive resume with his third career International Top 8.
  • Oceania 2018 featured the least diverse Day 2 metagame of any of the six International Championships to date. Only 8 different archetypes reached Day 2. Below are the amounts of archetypes to reach Day 2 at each previous IC:
    • Europe 2017: 14
    • NA 2017: 10
    • SA 2017: at least 9 (some decks unknown)
    • Oceania 2017: at least 11 (some decks unknown)
    • Europe 2016: 12

Decklists

Bodhi Cutler, Top 32 - Zoroark-GX/Lycanroc-GX
Notes: Unusual or notable cards include the Evosoda, Zoroark BRT, Giratina, Mew-EX, and Lycanroc BSH 75. Lycanroc provides a good attacker against stall decks like Hoopa SHL; Mew-EX was important in a metagame dominated by Buzzwole-GX; and Cutler says he does not regret the Giratina, as he was paired against 2 Greninja BREAK decks on Day 1.

Reuben Fong, 33rd - Volcanion/Sudowoodo
