Ryan Antonucci made Day 2 with Rowlet & Alolan Exeggutor-GX/Vileplume with Sceptile-GX, but was disqualified for an illegal decklist. (See Notes below.)

  • Grant Manley made his third consecutive Regional Top 8. He played a control deck in all three of those events (Oranguru/Pidgeotto in Atlantic City and Knoxville; Zoroark-GX in Richmond).
  • Ryan Antonucci made Day 2 with Rowlet & Alolan Exeggutor-GX/Vileplume with Sceptile-GX, but was disqualified for an illegal decklist. He was supposed to be playing 3 Grovyle and 2 Cynthia, but actually had 4 Grovyle and 1 Cynthia in his deck. Antonucci called a judge on himself when he realized the error. Opinions varied on whether the disqualification was merited or whether a milder penalty should have been given.
